Feline V58 - KORINA (SOMA)

 

We decided to make another V58 - this time we were inspired by the AMOS Korina V that Joe Bonnamassa acquired, and securing one of the limited edition sets of Seymour Duncan Amos pickup sets sealed the deal to build this.

We've built a small handful of '58 styled Vs in the past , but it was time to go all out and make a special one this time round.
We had some nice Korina to work with , with some interesting grain lines.
Building as we always do with the grain parallel to the outside of the wings gives a lovely chevron pattern at the centreline. 
Neck is our usual 3 piece quartersawn construction , differing from the one piece original , but we'd rather have the strength and stability, and by the same virtue we have gone for a small volute at the beck of the headstock

• Seymour Duncan Custom Shop AMOS pickup set
  with an alnico 5 in the bridge pickup for a bit of extra bite and crunch 
• Two volume controls and master tone
• CTS 500k pots and 0.022uF cap
